What is Centella Asiatica and How does it benefit your skin?
Centella Asiatica, also known as “Gotu Kola”, “Pennywort” or “Wild Violet”. Centella Asiatica is a botanical herb that grows in temperate and tropical swampy areas. As for the benefit of it for your skin, Centella Asiatica proved to have the following effects:
- Anti-ageing effect: as it contains “Madecassoside”, which serves as antioxidants that help neutralize the free radical damage caused by the sun and pollution exposure.
- Moisturizing effect: as it is rich with Amino Acids and Amino Acids is a great hydrating ingredient to soothe rough and irritated skin.
- Soothing effect: Centella Asiatica is ideal for sensitive skin which is red, inflamed, irritated or itchy. It helps reduce the visible signs of skin sensitivity such as itching and burning significantly.
- Healing effect: as it helps in healing acnes.
As for the Centella Asiatica used in this product: The plant is harvested in Chungcheongnam-do, the essence is extracted in a non-dry condition of the plant so this means that the nutrition in this extract is more than that of dried extract.

I was so surprised that a mineral sunscreen could glide on as effortlessly as a regular moisturizer without any thickness. It feels more hydrating than oily, and it leaves a beautiful, healthy glow on my face. It¡¯s not overly sticky, but it¡¯s definitely not matte either. There is a slight white cast, but it¡¯s very minimal.
